St. Albert Public Library

I worked on this project in my role as Creative Team Lead at Berlin Communications. I developed a brand positioning strategy, brand guide and visual identity system for St. Albert Public Library.

Libraries are no longer just a place for books. They have evolved to continue to meet the changing needs of their community - libraries serve as community hubs and ensure equitable access to information for everyone. St. Albert Public Library was in need of a brand strategy to help them communicate their important role and they needed a flexible visual platform that could be applied to create materials for many different programs.

Here for you. Here for all. This core brand idea was developed to capture the role that the library plays for individuals and the community as a whole. With resources and programming across many areas, they cater to many individual interests and needs and they do this because of their purpose to serve everyone. To bring this idea to life visually, I developed a simple wordmark and accompanying set of graphic elements that centred around a map of St. Albert and all the neighbourhoods that make up the community.
